Today I had a good spring clean of the studio. It needed it, and as studios go, it is now tidy and clean for more fresh creations.
I took Pippin my dog for a walk and found myself jumping up trying to reach some beautifully crafted leaves. If they have a good vein and the backs are detailed and raised, I know they will make a good impression into my clay.
Some days as I stroll back from the park or field, hands full of freshly picked sprigs, other dog walkers inquire why I have been pulling at the hedges and trees ahead of them! “For pressing?” they may ask… In a manner yes! It makes interesting conversation! It adds a bit of variety to the dog walker’s general theme! Pippin feels overlooked.
Today the studio is fresh and clean and full of green leaves sipping water from various pots.
